Spent Columbus Day weekend in Chicago and it was amazing! I can't put into words how incredible this trip was and am so happy to have gone with good company. I think Chicago may be my favorite city so far - everyone was friendly and the view of the city was stunning. Luckily I came when the weather was in the 70's and was able to check off almost everything on my to-do list. The first day was spent resting since I took a late afternoon flight. I arrived in the loop early morning to be greeted by a flood of marathon runners who were participating in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. I spent majority of the day being a tourist and visited the Bean and the surrounding landmarks. Highlight of the day was biking around the Navy Pier and admiring the beautiful architecture surrounding the city. I was impressed at how efficient the public transportation was, there was even a pink line! Part 2 of my trip will be up as shortly but hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend!
Love, Sharon
looks like a lot of fun!
