I went to DC today to see the cherry blossoms before they disappeared and what a sight! Cherry blossoms bloomed earlier than last year and luckily I came back home from New York in time to see them in full bloom. Luckily it wasn't crowded today so I was able to snap some photos without waiting to take some shots of the Jefferson Memorial. Weather was a bit chilly but it was magical seeing the petals fly away. One of my bucket lists is to go to Japan and see the cherry blossoms, maybe next year? Hope everyone is having a great week so far!
Love, Sharon
Beautiful pictures. Reminds me that I need to get to steppin' and go to the park and take pictures of the cherry blossoms as well.

yes you should! such a beautiful sight :)
DeleteLast year I went to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Philly because that's where I'm studying, but there were hardly any blooms, and apparently it's like that every year (the event is held too early), so right then I decided that I would go to the Cherry Blossom Festival in DC the following year (this year!). The time passed by so quick! I wasn't able to catch the MegaBus to DC because I had way too much work, but maybe one day I'll be able to visit :) Thanks for these pictures, and I hope you had a great time! -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's
