Downtown LA

Last full day in LA was spent at the Arts District and DTLA. It was a rainy day in LA but I was prepared and bought an umbrella at Daiso the day before. Sadly it broke apart after I opened it the second time. Oh well, it was only $3.

Day Four:
-I grabbed brunch at ediBOL with my sister - wish there was one in my neighborhood! My sister and I started with chicken wings and I ordered borBOLeta (amazing) and my sister got the ginger sesame bol.
-Next door to ediBOL is Van Leeuwen, my favorite ice cream shop! They have a variety of vegan flavors to choose from, I got the honeycomb and rose jam cardamom cake - delicious. I'm going to have to order some for my birthday, it's worth the $20 shipping fee. They also offer Toby Estate's coffee and non-vegan flavors, you must go if you haven't. The New York location doesn't seem to offer that many vegan flavors, but I'll have to check next time I'm in NYC.
-Headed to the Broad Museum around noon, luckily I had tickets this time around. I got tickets a month in advance! I would definitely book a ticket in advance (it's free). I walked around the different exhibits and stayed dry while it was pouring outside. Probably one of my favorite museums along with MoMA and the Louvre.
-Went to Grand Central Market, those who love food as much as I do would think it's heaven once you step in. A whiff of the different aromas from the various cuisines got me salivating. My sister loves Thai food so we went to Sticky Rice and ordered pad thai and spicy fried rice. Wow, the dishes were bursting with flavors.
-Next we tried EggSlut, and surprisingly there was no wait. I enjoyed my bacon egg & cheese sandwich (took out the cheese) - it was good but I don't know if I would wait in line for it.
-Grabbed coffee at G&B coffee before walking to The Last Bookstore. Such a charming bookstore, I would stop by if you're in the area.
-I wasn't feeling well so we headed back to our airbnb and watched some Netflix before packing and calling it a night. It was pouring all day so I didn't feel like I missed out anything.

Day Five:
-Woke up early and grabbed breakfast at Cafe Gratitude. Perfect way to end our LA trip before leaving. Sunny day in LA!
-2 hour delay at the airport but made it back home safely. My parents and Toby greeted us at the airport, no place like home :)

Love, Sharon
