Wardrobe Refresh With Trunk Club

I had the opportunity to try out Trunk Club's women's service and am happy to share my experience with you! Trunk Club's DC clubhouse just opened their service to women recently and I was excited to see what it was like to work with a stylist. When I walked in the space reminded me of LA because of the trendy vibes and was stunned at how I missed a gem like this in DC. The view of DC from the seventh floor was amazing. Serious interior goals, I was envying the marble table and navy velvet sofa. I met my stylist, Nikki, who had a rack of clothes ready for me to try on. I needed to refresh my wardrobe since summer is approaching and I wanted something fun to add to my closet. I had a glass of champagne and was ready to try out the different outfits Nikki had picked out for me. I had a phone call with Nikki the day before where she asked me questions about my style and sizes so she could curate clothes specifically for me. She had a mix of my favorite designers and styles as well as shoes that I regret not bringing back home. Nikki had different sizes for me since I like to dress comfortably and she gave me advice on the fit of the tops and shorts I was trying on. I sized up for the shorts to give it more of a "boyfriend fit" and we both agreed it looked better loose for the blouse she paired it with. We spent the afternoon laughing and chatting away about new trends and she shared tips on how to wear button ups and knee high boots. I brought back home a sun hat, denim skirt, and a fun palm tree top that I'll be taking to my trip to Cali. I'm still dreaming of the outfits I didn't bring back with me! If you're in the area I would suggest popping in to see how a stylist can refresh your wardrobe and help pick out clothes that flatter your body type. If you have Nikki as your stylist tell her to start blogging - she's super sweet and I had the best time hanging out with her and learning how to pick outfits from her.

One thing that surprised me about Trunk Club was that they don't charge for styling fees! If you're not able to go into one of their five clubhouses you can get matched with a personal stylist online. A box of clothes, shoes, and accessories picked just for you are sent to your doorstep. The best part is that it's not a subscription service and you have up to 10 days to try everything on. To learn more and to get started click here. Let me know if you try Trunk Club or already using their service!

  2. My boyfriend used Trunk Club for a little and didn't really like it, but I think that's because his stylist didn't pick out the clothing styles he wanted to try. Otherwise, I think it's a great concept and I'm interested in trying them.
